Walgreens - 3/29 - 4/4

Quaker Life or Cap'n Crunch Cereal: 2/$5 - $1.00 off 2 coupon or 2 $0.50 coupons (1-4 RP) = 2/$4, earns a $2 RR (Register Reward) making it 2/$2
Coke/Hershey's: Buy a 20 oz Coke, get a free Hershey's candy bar. Plus, in CVS the other day, I found coupons for $1 off when you buy a 20 oz Coke and a Reese's candy bar. Cokes are $1.39 a piece (or 2 for $2.49), so $0.39 for a soda and candy! (The coupons were on the front of a small cooler with sodas in it, near the front door.)
Softsoap body wash: $3.99, buy one, receive a coupon for a free body wash on your next visit. This past Sunday's paper had a coupon for $1.00 off body wash. And, apparently, it looks like whenever you use your free coupon to purchase a body wash, you receive ANOTHER coupon. So, you could get an infinite amount of body washes for $2.99. :)
Reynolds Wrap Foil: $0.89 for the 20 sq. ft. size (you need the coupon from the ad). For awhile, there were several coupons out for $1 off Reynolds foil, only excluding the 25 sq. ft. size. Unfortunately, all the most recent ones issued now say "excluding 20 and 25 sq. ft." If you have any of the prior ones, then stock up on free foil!
Chapstick, 100% Naturals or True Shimmer: $1.99, receive $1.99 in RR, making it FREE
Printer Cartridge Refill: FREE. normally $10 for black, $15 for color, but this week they are on sale for $7.50, and in this month's Easy Saver Rebate catalog, you can receive a rebate for $7.50 on printer cartridge refills ($8.25 if you opt for the gift card)
One a Day multivitamin drink, 2 packets: FREE, after rebate (again, if you opt for the gift card, you will get an extra 10% back, so you will make money on the deal). Good for the entire month.
Wal-itin Allergy relief, 30 ct.: FREE. On sale for $6.99 & receive $6.99 rebate (or $7.69 on a gift card)
Mentos gum: FREE. 2/$2, use $1 off coupon from 3-1 SS
Skintimate shave gel: FREE. $2.99, earns $3 in RR
Physicians Formula Organic Wear makeup: purchase $10, receive $10 rebate ($11 on gift card). I'm not sure how much this makeup runs for, so I don't know if it will be possible to buy exactly $10 or $11 worth, but I have some coupons, so I'm going to see what I can do. I will keep you updated (this is a monthly promotion).

Target - 3/29 - 4/4

The mini loaves that I mentioned last week were not a sale price (I don't think), and the coupon is good through the 11th, so I think you should all have plenty of time to stock up on free bread! Here are the links again for the coupons: Hot Coupon World Target Coupon Generator & Target website. There are new coupons now on the Target site, so you will have to visit the 1st link for the bread coupons.

This week at Target, we have:

93% lean ground beef: $2.99/lb
Dole bagged salad: $2.50 each. Print a coupon from one of the above links for $1, making them $1.50 each
Kashi cereal & snack bars: $2.66 each. I don't know if they are still doing this, but if you visit Kashi's website and sign up on their mailing list, they will send you (or you can maybe print?) a $2 off coupon. I highly recommend getting on their mailing list. I received a coupon in the mail today from them for a free frozen entree!
Dannon Activia or DanActive: $2 each - $1 coupon (1-11 SS or 3-1 SS) = $1 for a 4-pack
Similac Advance, 23.2 oz : $20.99. Unfortunately, this is about as good as it gets for formula. The 10-12 SS has a coupon for $1 off, which you can use in combination with a formula check to get that even cheaper, if you are in need of formula.
Playtex Diaper Genie refills: $5. If you're in need, then this is about as good as it gets (CVS had a Playtex sale a month or two ago, but I don't know if there will be another one any time soon.)
Reusable Tote Bag: $0.75. I've gotten most of my tote bags for free through various promotions, but they usually sell for $1.
Gillette body wash, 8.4 oz: $2, regular price. Target has a special size (8.4 oz) that you can find on an endcap, somewhere around the shaving aisle. This size (8.4 oz) sells for $2 and in the 3-1 PG insert, there was a coupon for $2 off Gillette body wash. Since they are for men, a lot of these are 2-in-1 shampoo & body wash, but you can still use the body wash coupons on them.

So... nothing really exceptional this week, other than the free bread (which is REALLY good, by the way), free body wash, and the Kashi bars, if you have the coupon!

Randalls update

We were so busy working on our garden yesterday that I didn't get a chance to go through yesterday's Sunday coupons. Luckily, I checked the Katy Couponers blog this morning, to find out that there is a coupon for $1.50 off Kraft dressing, which is free with the Randalls Mix n Match sale. Also, there are coupons for $1 off Halls cough drops, which gives 25 cents overage with the Mix n Match sale, or free if not bought as part of the sale (some packages are part of the sale and there are others that are not, but that are priced at $1). Sale ends tomorrow!

UPDATE

There was so much info posted yesterday, that I feel like I should clarify some things...

First of all, the deals at Randalls, Kroger, and CVS all require shopper's cards. If you don't have one for each store, make sure you do. If you do have their cards, make sure they have all your current info, since they often like to mail out coupons! There are also many other perks to the shopper's cards, i.e. gas discounts, airline miles, etc.

The deal at CVS for the toothpaste is on the 4.0 oz size.

The Pillsbury & Kraft deals at Kroger only go until the 29th (Sunday). The sale price is good until the 30th but the coupon off your next shopping order will only be issued until the 29th. Also, with the Pillsbury deal, make sure to add the loadables off shortcuts.com for Pillsbury to make the deal even better.

The tomato sauce deal at Walgreens is working out a little differently...They are ringing up at 5/$4.00. So, instead of 11, you will need to buy 13. This gives you a total, before coupon, of $10.40. Your total after the coupon becomes $5.07. Then you will still get the mail in rebate. You will make 43 cents if you opt for the Walgreens gift card (which gives you an extra 10%), or you will pay 7 cents for 13 cans of tomato sauce, if you opt for no gift card.

And I did verify the bread at Target. You can get mini baguettes (which are like an 8" baguette) or mini loaves (which are about 4"x4") for 99 cents. Use your dollar off coupon for free bread! I bought 8 today!

Oatmeal for a buck at Jamba Juice

http://oatmealforabuck.com/

I was going to make this all nice and pretty, but I've got to figure out how to upload pics! Anyways, if you ever go to Jamba Juice, print out this coupon, and get you some oatmeal!

And if oatmeal is a little too healthy for you...
49 cent donuts at Dunkin Donuts. No coupon needed, but a medium or larger coffee purchase is required.

Kroger - Cottonelle toilet paper

I'm doing this as a separate post, since it's not a special sale.

Kroger regularly has a 4-pack of regular Cottonelle toilet paper on sale for $1.19. Print coupons for $0.50 off Cottonelle 4-pack from here. (Hit your back button a few times in order to print a second copy of the coupon). This coupon will double at Kroger. Once you've printed the coupons, visit cellfire.com. Sign up to load coupons onto your Kroger card. Right now, I have two of the Cottonelle coupons loaded to my card. These loadable coupons can be used in conjunction with a paper coupon, so $1.19 - $1 ($0.50 coupon doubled) - $0.25 (loadable) = $0.06 overage!

While you're loading coupons to your card, visit shortcuts.com, and P&G Esaver to load more coupons to your Kroger card. The P&G site will also load coupons to your Randalls card. If you have student loans or a 529 for the kiddos, sign up to upromise. A percentage of certain purchases you buy will go towards either of those. They also have loadable coupons, where, instead of giving you instant savings, the money is applied towards your student loan or 529 account.

Target - 3/22 - 3/28

Go here or here. Print up coupons for the Archer Farms artisan bread, Green Giant russet potatoes, and Sutton & Dodge steaks or roasts (you will have to visit the second link to print this one), as many as you want. According to this site, the Archer Farms mini-baguettes are on sale for $0.99, so free after the $1 coupon. I haven't verified this yet. The 5 lb bag of Green Giant russet potatoes are on sale for $1.99, so $0.99 for 5 lbs. potatoes after the coupon. The Sutton & Dodge meat varies in price depending on what cut you get. Look for packages that are reduced for quick sale. They will have a sticker on it that says, "Save $1.50 on this package" or something like that (some even say $2.50). You can use the $2 meat coupon with these packages. I STOCKED UP last week, getting several packages for free and all for $1.50 or less.

Enfamil and Similac RTF (ready to feed) are on sale for $5.49. If you have any formula checks (for instance, the $5 ones), then you can use those to get formula for $0.49. I got a bunch of checks from Freecyclers and stocked up last time they were on sale.

Schick Quattro & Intuition razors: If you have the $4 off coupons for these (3-22 SS), then this is a good deal. Buy two of these razors for $13.98 total - two $4 coupons = $5.98 for two razors. Receive a $5 Target gift card for buying two razors.

*Note on the Target coupons: the wording does read, "One coupon per transaction." Again, I haven't had a problem here, but just be aware. If they give you a hard time, then just do separate transactions (I always let the people behind me go ahead, if for some reason I need to do another transaction).

Walgreens - 3/22 - 3/28

Not much going on at Walgreens, either. In addition to the Register Rewards, Walgreens also has another program, their Easy Saver catalog. It's a booklet that has monthly coupons & mail-in rebates that they offer. This week they have a coupon in their weekly ad for Hunt's tomato sauce at $0.39 a can (you need this coupon to get the price, but, don't worry, there should be plenty of ads at the front of the store. You only need one coupon and it will discount them all.). There is also a mail-in rebate for $5 when you buy $10 worth of Con-Agra foods (Hunt's being one those). So, buy 11 cans of Hunt's tomato sauce (the original price is $0.99) for a total original price of $10.89 (which is all you need to get the rebate). The coupon should take $0.60 off each can, making your total $4.29. Go here to claim your rebate. In about a month, you should get your $5 rebate ($5.50 if you opt to have it put onto a Walgreens gift card).

Just a couple of notes about the above deal:
-You do not have to buy all 11 in one transaction, so if they only have a few, then buy what you can. You can enter multiple receipts when you claim your rebate.
-The coupon states "limit 3" on the ad. The coupon will discount more than 3 when scanned, and I've never had a problem, but just be aware of that, in case you get a cashier who's a jerk.

Walgreens also has trial sizes (2 oz) of Johnson's body care in a display kind of around the make-up area. The 2-22 RP had coupons for $1 off Johnson's body care product. Some coupons will say "not valid on trial sizes." This one does not, therefore, you can get these for free.

CVS - 3/22- 3/28

Remember when I said we had probably 2 years worth of toothpaste, all for free? Well, this is how I've been doing that...

CVS has Crest Pro-Health Enamel Care toothpaste and mouthwash on sale for $3.49. BUT, when you purchase one of these items, you receive "Extra Care Bucks" in the amount of $3.49. Extra Care Bucks are basically a coupon that you can use towards any future purchase. If you have any coupons for either of these items (from the 2-8, 3-1, or 3-15 PG or 2-22 RP, for instance), then you actually make money on the deal. I had a coupon for $1.00 off Crest Premium toothpaste (found in one of the PG inserts. Sorry, I'm not sure which one). I paid $2.49 for the toothpaste ($3.49 - $1 coupon), but I still received $3.49 in ECBs. This is how you work the drugstores. Walgreens has a similar program (theirs are called Register Rewards).

Other than that, not much else going on at CVS this week. They have milk on sale 2/$6, but when you buy 2, you get $2 in ECBs, making it 2/$4.

Kroger - 3/25-3/13

Not much going on at Kroger this week. Their Mega sale ended last week.

A few things:

milk: $1.99/gallon
Ground chuck: $1.99/lb
Bunch broccoli: $0.87 each
Kraft cheese: 3 for $5. An ok price, BUT...when you buy 3 Kraft 2% natural cheese products, you get a coupon for $2 off your next shopping order, so it's like getting it 3 for $3, which is a great price for cheese.
Quaker Cap'n Crunch and Life cereal: priced at 4/$10, but when you buy 4, you instantly get $4 off, making it 4/$6. The 1-4 Red Plum had coupons for $0.50 off Cap'n Crunch (which will double) and $1.00 off 2 Life cereals. If you have multiples of these coupons, you could get a really good price on these cereals. (Kroger, unlike Randalls, will double or triple up to 3 like coupons.)
Whole chicken: $0.99/lb (and when I was there yesterday, I found Tyson All Natural whole chicken reduced for quick sale at $0.99/lb)
Chicken leg quarters: $0.99/lb
Pillsbury cinnamon rolls, Grands, Crescent rolls (all 4-5 ct), or pizza crust: 4/$5, but you instantly get $1 off when you buy 4, making it 4/$4. You can find coupons for $0.25 off Crescent rolls (which triple), $0.30 off Cinnamon rolls (which also triple), $0.40 off pizza crust (doubles), and there are various Grands coupons out there. Almost every Sunday, there are coupons for Pillsbury products. So... you buy the Pillsbury for next to nothing, AND when you buy 5, you get a coupon for $3.00 off your next shopping trip, so you end up making money on the deal.
Tropicana OJ, 64 oz: $2.39 each, but the 1-4 RP had a coupon for $1 off 2, so: $2.39*2 - $1 =
$3.78 for two 64 oz OJ (or, 1 gallon OJ). A decent price.

Randalls - 3/25-3/31

This is the last week for the Mix n Match sale at Randalls (these sales typically run for 2 weeks). The way these sales work is that for every 10 participating items you purchase, you automatically get $5 off your grocery bill. Kroger's Mega sale (which ended last week) works the same way.

The following items are good deals as part of the Mix n Match sale. Keep in mind, the price is after the $5 discount ($5.00/1o items= $0.50 off each item). If you do not want to buy 10, then add $0.50 to the price.

Fuze single drinks: $0.75 - $0.25 coupon (1-4 SS*) tripled = free
Halls cough drops: $0.75 - $0.50 coupon doubled (2-8 SS) = $0.25 overage
Huggies 64 ct wipes: $2.00 - $0.50 coupon doubled (1-11 SS, 3-1 SS, or in the mail from Huggies.com) = $1.00 (not a bad price for wipes; I'd be buying them, if I hadn't recently stocked up during a sale at Walgreens)
Ozarka 8ct. Aquapod: $1.50 each, but the coupon that is out is $0.75 off two. So, $1.50*2 - $0.75 (2-8 RP) = $2.25 for two 8-pks of water, BUT... when you buy 2 Ozarka, you get a coupon for $2.00 off your next shopping trip. So, you can look at it as, $0.25 for two 8-packs of water. I found out about this through the Katy Couponers blog. She also found coupons for produce on the packs of water themselves, but when I went to Randalls yesterday (TWO locations), they were all out of the water.

A note about Randalls coupon policy: Randalls will only double or triple one like item, so if you were to buy 10 Fuze drinks, only one would be free and the rest would be 50 cents.

Other items, not part of the Mix n Match sale:

Strawberries: 2 pounds for $1.99
Chicken leg quarters: $0.99/lb
milk: $1.99/gallon
Suave body wash: this is advertised as being as part of the Mix n Match sale, but it's not marked as such in the store and also didn't ring up that way. When I went to customer service to ask them about it, I got sort of a convoluted answer, so I didn't push the issue. Anyways, it's on sale for $1.90, but when you buy 2, you get a 3rd one free. There are a few ways to work it. There are $0.50 off one body wash in the 3-1 RP. If you have three of these coupons, you can use three. One will double, the other two will not. So, $1.90*2 - $2.00 = $1.80 for three body wash. You could also use the $2.00 off 3 Suave coupons found in the 1-11 RP for the same result. If you just so happened to sign up for the free Suave campaign & got your coupon in the mail, you can do what I did: $1.90*2 - $1.90 (free item coupon) - $1.50 (two of the $0.50 coupons, one doubled, one at face value) = $0.40 for three body wash.

Sorry if this all sort of complicated. Please let me know if you have any questions! Once you get the hang of it, it won't be complicated at all!!

* The Sunday paper usually has two inserts: Smart Source & Red Plum. Occasionally, Proctor & Gamble puts out an insert, and sometimes there are two of each Smart Source & Red Plum. Holiday weekends have no inserts. After the coupon, I will put in parenthesis where these coupons are found. You will see the date, followed by SS, RP, or PG for Smart Source, Red Plum, and Proctor & Gamble respectively.

HEB Deals - 3/25-3/31

I don't normally shop at HEB, since they don't double or triple coupons. I used to go through their sale ad, but most of their advertisement is on their own brand, which I don't have coupons for. I did receive some coupons this week from a freecycler, so I will be looking through the ad in more depth. Anyways, some things of mention:

Beef brisket: $1/lb
Chicken breasts: $1/lb
Grapes: $0.77/lb
Mangoes: 2/$0.88

The brisket & chicken have a limit of 2, with a $10 purchase, but I think the price is good enough (especially on the chicken) to make a special trip this week.
